Why Not Just Buy a New Piano?

Many people believe that new is better.  This is not necessarily so, especially where pianos are concerned. As years go by, piano manufacturers are continually seeking better ways to cut costs and improve profits. They will go to great lengths to achieve this goal, compromising the quality of the piano in the process.  By using cheaper parts in the belief that they will achieve the same goal, which is a beautiful sounding piano, they have instead begun making pianos inferior sounding to vintage ones.  Anyone with any musical ability at all will realize at once that these newer pianos do not have the sound or the feel that they would expect from a quality instrument, although they usually have a nice appearance.   You have to ask yourself, do you want a nice piece of furniture at a very expensive price that doesn't sound  or feel very good when you play it, or would you prefer a quality instrument, with a beautiful sound that has a unique style and appearance that you won't find anywhere else?  The older pianos were built to last many years and were made with the best possible materials by highly skilled craftsmen with a penchant for quality and have a tone and feel that will put a smile on any serious musicians face.  Some of these pianos that Vincent maintains are over 100 years old and still have their original ivory keys!   I am sure, once you check out Vincent's pianos and compare them to the  new ones being sold out there that you will come to the same conclusions.
As good as these reasons are for buying a restored, vintage piano, the most important reason you should only buy your piano from Vincent Izzo's Piano Gallery is because:
